In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to create a paint roller and tray in adobe illustrator. The tutorial is composed of two main parts, creating the tray and creating the paint roller. You will start from basic shapes and with a few tools (Pen Tool, Rectangle…) you will easily create the shapes that you need. SVG or Scalable vector graphics is an XML-based vector image format. It is supported by major vector editors like Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape or Corel Draw. However, not every SVG file will open properly in Adobe Illustrator. Complex vector files that consist of gradients, glows or shadows, might show errors or not open at all. By using one of techniques from below, you will be able to open majority of SVG files in Adobe Illustrator without any problems. It is advisable to download and install Inkscape, open source vector editor , which handles SVG files perfectly.
